Sister P's Small Kitchen is a small restaurant and catering business owned by Philiswa Makubalo in Khayelitsha South Africa. The brand message focuses on creating a warm and welcoming environment where customers can feel like family.
Mood Boards
There were three mood boards: Bright Vibes, Earthy Vibes, and Healthy Vibes. They were all sent to the client for approval. Healthy Vibes was the closest concept the client wanted.
Digital Iterations
For the logo, dinnerware such as forks, spoons, and plate were incorporated into the logo word mark.
Final Logo
The final logo has a calligraphic font for "Sister P's" and a sans serif font in all caps for "Small Kitchen." The two circles creating a plate is cut in the middle to make room for the name and a circular fork and spoon logo is located at the top. The main logo color is a dark green that is associated with greenery or health providing a calming effect.
